Art imitates Life

For as long as the adult industry has existed. It has mirrored the sexual desires, kinks and fetishes of the people that watch it.

As long as it was consenting adults participating in these different devices of erotica nothing was considered off limits, because in the privacy of our own homes we don't put limitations on what we want to see and or hear to get our selves off.

It seems like 2020 changed all that. The fetishization of people of color all of the sudden became more taboo than it already was. Like black people where not getting killed by police constantly before George Floyd. It's not the first time a Black man had been killed on camera. And it certainly won't be the last.

Here is what many in the adult film industry don't realize. People who get off on interracial (I'm talking about real interracial where the parties involved mention their differences in ethnicity while the scene is going on) didn't stop wanting that type of content.

I am not hear to talk about whether the fetishization of a ethnic group is inherently negative or not. I get both sides of that argument. What I am saying is people who want to see that type of content have nowhere to turn. And subsequently because of that they are getting kink shamed. Not only are they getting shamed but the content creators who made that type of content are also being shamed. In an industry that supposedly champions inclusiveness and diversity this screams of hypocrisy.

So the question begs to be asked are studios ever going to get back to what interracial use to be? Or will we continue to deny so many who enjoyed that type of content. Something has to give.
