First year of LeBron in LA was a Major Fail for every one involved
Now this all does not fall on his shoulders a lone. The fact that half of this Lakers team was hurt for large stretches did not help. The Lakers could not establish consistent substitution patterns because they had guys going down from injury all year. Lonzo Ball, Rondo and Brandon Ingram all missed large parts of the season do to injury and that severely hampered the collective unit from gaining any cohesiveness
Luke Walton never got LeBron and subsequently the rest of the Lakers roster to follow him. Even though he is not a bad coach. He is almost assured to be fired and replaced with some one whom LeBron respects more. How good that will do them will be a whole other can of worms.
The way the Lakers, Rich Paul and Magic totally vomited all over them selves trying to secure Anthony Davis in a trade was truly embarrassing. First LeBron's best friend (Rich Paul) leaking the fact that the Lakers wanted to move all of their young core talent for Davis was amateur hour in the fullest. It was Clear that New Orleans was not interested in trading AD to the Lakers for anything.
The Young Players felt betrayed at that point and the Locker room pretty much splintered. Now you had a team that was riddled with injury. Had most of its young core almost shipped out of a town and a Coach who couldn't get his team to buy into what he was trying to do. The shit was really a perfect storm.

All is not lost though. There where a few silver linings during this season. Kyle Kuzma really developed from year 1 to year 2. He has the potential to really lead this team. and Last but not least With the Lakers Missing the Playoffs they have a great chance at a lottery pick this year during the draft. A lot of mock drafts have them selecting my favorite player from college. Romeo Langford. The kid is 18 now so I can and will mention him on this blog lol. The Lakers desperately need help at the shooting guard position and he could easily add more consistency at that spot.
The best thing about this season is its finally over. Now as Lakers fans we can try to look towards the future. One where we have a coach who LeBron will actually listen to,
a roster that stays healthy the whole season and a Young Draft pick to add to the core.
