Colin Kaepernick the Face of Nike's New Just do it

The Backlash that Nike has faced over the past 72 hours has been epic to say the least. People burning hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of apparel has been a spectacle to observe on social media. So many talking heads on the conservative side of the political spectrum talking about how Kaep is disrespectful to the flag and the troops and police and all this other shit.

The fact remains that these people don't now nor have they ever given a damn about the plight of people of color in this country at the hands of the powers that be. Every time a police officer shot and killed and unarmed black man. Those same types of individuals would be the first people talking about how the vast majority of black men would still be alive if they only complied or if they didn't look suspicious of if they where not wearing a hoodie or running away.

These are the types of people that will bend over backwards to always excuse why black men get shot by the cops or why Mexicans don't deserve due process at the border. Or why everything that Barack Obama did for 8 years was evil. Even though the vast majority of his ideas where way more conservative than they where liberal.

These individuals live in echo chambers and have no real desire to listen to perspectives that don't line up perfectly with their own ideologies. And when they try to make an intelegent argument to defend their positions they always obfuscate and cherry pick stats  that only fit their narrative. Never looking at broader context if that context might devalue the data that they are presenting to bolster their arguments.

Now let me say that I am no Liberal bastion. But I most def lean left and I know bull shit when I see it because In a previous life I was a professionally trained researcher. Even though that background doesn't help with the many grammatical errors you find on this site lol. Any way self deprecating aside I know how to spot something fishy and when to accept something as factual.

The FACTS are that these people where Salty as Hell with NIKE for continuing to support Colin Kaepernick after he was bounced out of the League. and these people got so mad that they decided to participate in pointless exercises like burning their Nike Apparel that they already bought. They wanted to send Nike a message that they where burning their potential revenue by this controversial move. Unfortunately for them Nike's online sales have spiked 31% sense announcing Kaep as their lead spokes person for the 30 year Just do it ad campaign.
