Moratorium and the fall out

Over the last few days production has been halted because a performer popped up with a positive HIV test result. That test result has been confirmed and now the on screen partners of that performer who tested positive are now being retested. This is the second stoppage like this in the last few months.

It is a unfortunate occurrence but it comes with the nature of the adult industry. Subsequently there has been finger pointing and blame placed at the feet of some presumed Bisexual or gay performers because it has been hinted that the person who has tested positive for HIV could be a bisexual/gay performer.

There are a few misnomers that need to be cleared up. First of all being gay or bisexual from a biological stand point does not make you more susceptible to sexually transmitted infections. Secondly homosexual behavior in and of it self is not more likely from a biological standpoint to give you a sexually transmitted infection. It all has to do with behavior and personal responsibility. Some gay and bisexual men like to engage in risky sexual behavior. that has nothing to do with the fact that they are gay and more to do with the fact that those individual men are fucking stupid.  It is important that adult performers understand the difference between what is more biologically probable and what is personal irresponsibility.

That being said I can't ignore the fact that Gay/Bi men do like to engage in more risky sexual behavior than their heterosexual counterparts from a statistical standpoint. There is a correlation there. However There is no causation. It is the classic nature vs nurture argument. Some people would have you to believe that it is nature that makes gay/bi men more likely to get STIs and that simply is not the case.

As I mentioned before there has been some finger pointing and one of the individuals doing the finger pointing is Nat Turnher. He went onto social media and brought up the fact that Jax Slayher had performed in some bi acts and he was uncomfortable with that situation. because he has worked in close quarters with Jax in the past.

While I don't agree with the manner in which Nat expressed his concerns I do not begrudge him for having reservations about working with people whom he thinks might be potentially putting his health at risk. Jax didn't respond to Nat directly he just said he didn't care and posted an up to date full panel test result that stated he was completely healthy from a STI standpoint.

Your personal reasons for not wanting to work with anyone should never be put on trail As long as you have all the information. However If you are simply throwing shade at other performers and it comes from a place of ignorance and misinformation then you should rethink your position and get more information before expressing your reservations. I think Nat has done that and he reached out to Jax to clear the air. Who knows how that situation will turn out. I hope it turns out okay and the industry at large returns to normal over the next few days with no other positive test results. So we can get back to what's important. Fucking the shit outta these white women. 😉
